AIIS is pleased to co-sponsor the Jay Phillips Center Scholars in Interreligious Studies program, a funded year-long fellowship of scholarly inquiry, public engagement, and collaborative formation for emerging scholars in the field of (Inter)religious Studies. Applications for the 2026-2027 cohort are due March 31, 2026.

The mission of the Association for Interreligious / Interfaith Studies is to inspire and facilitate transformative collaboration between individuals engaged in or committed to the advancement of interreligious/interfaith studies as a distinct interdisciplinary field of research, pedagogy, and engagement.

The AIIS envisions the expansion and advancement of dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge production among interreligious/interfaith studies scholars and practitioners, thus ensuring that work in this field becomes a compelling force in service of the greater public good and contributes creatively to the flourishing of pluralistic societies.

We seek to provide engaging conversations on the state and direction of the field, as well as open spaces in which participants are invited to raise questions and issues that foster innovative inquiry and productive collaboration.
